The ECE Academy honors alumni who have made a significant mark in engineering..
This can be in any of the areas ECE alumni contribute to - industry, entrepreneurship, government, academia and scholarship.
The inaugural class will be inducted at the celebration of the department's 100th anniversary on November 6, 2009. Recipients will receive a medallion in recognition of the honor. The department website will include bios and description of each honorary. A plaque will be on permanent display in the New Engineering Building with each inductee's name, year and affiliation.
To be eligible for consideration, the nominee must have graduated from UF's Electrical & Computer Engineering Department at least a decade ago and have made a national contribution in his/her field. Academy members are inducted once per year at the annual Spring Banquet.
Nominators should submit the nominee's resume by February 1st to the department chair.
